Rucksdaddy's SPONSORED Herculean Xtreme & Chains Log

Postby Rucksdaddy » Tue Nov 10, 2009 6:32 pm

Thanks to Justin and Phenom Labs for hooking me up with grape flavored Herculean Xtreme and their new BCAA/Glutamine product Chains (doesn't say a flavor, but it does say it tastes great).

Herculean Xtreme has 28 servings, Chains has 50.

I will be starting this log tomorrow hopefully. Here is how I will dose the two products:

Herculean Xtreme - 1 serving pre-workout (lifting days only)
Chaines - 2 servings pre-workout (lifting days and P90X days)

Let's get this log rolling. 8)

i'm eager to see what flavor "chains" is...and what your review of it will be. I trusted your judgement heavily on CoreABC and I have to admit that you were definitely right.

Holy F__K! thanks for making me aware of the non-flavor on the label...man I swear I need more eyes checking these labels for mistakes....ARGGGGG  !

Anyways it is tropical or fruit punch flavor. We call fruit punch but we have had people say both. So maybe we should just call it punch...also try mixing 1 scoop HX and 1 scoop Chains....Nice little flavor there as well! 8)

One of the containers (sorry I forget) said a serving size is 6.5 grams. It has a scooper, so I am assuming 1 scoop = 1 serving.......

That would be the Chains...but both products: 1 scoop = 1 serving! Correct!

Re: Rucksdaddy's Herculean Xtreme & Chains Log

Postby Rucksdaddy » Wed Nov 11, 2009 10:31 am

Usually do not have Wednesdays off, but today I did, so I hit the gym early. Took 1 serving of Herculean Xtreme and 2 servings of chains in probably about 6 ounces of water. Taste was very good, it was a mixture of grape and fruit punch. The grape was a little stronger, similar to a sweet tart, so I imagine Herculean Xtreme tastes excellent by itself. In any case, the combination tasted very good. Nice not to have to down something that taste like donkey balls at 7:00 a.m.

Got to the gym around 7:30. I wish I had waited a little longer because pre-workouts always take a little longer to kick in for me, closer to 60 minutes pre-workout. Did chest and arms today:

Cable Crossovers
Icarian Incline Chest Press
High Cable Curls
Rope French Press
Cambered Bar Cable Curls
Icarian Press
Rope Hammer Curls
Cambered Bar Cable Reverse Curls

All drop sets.

Strength was good. Not quite as strong that early in the morning as I am in later in the afternoon, but it's still increasing. Workout was good, endurance is down on this workout only, still haven't figured that out. But had a good pump going, muscles were full of blood, making them pretty dense.

Herculean Xtreme has just the 200mg's of caffeine. This is good, as it will work well during my afternoon workouts. I can come down in time to get to sleep if I take it around 4 p.m. On my Sunday morning workout, I think I am going to double it up. I need a little more kick in the morning. But I'm glad HX doesn't have any more than what it does because then I can use it in the afternoon and not worry about being over stimulated.
